Happening Now: Creekside is asking for your help to help those in need! Our friend Paul Austin and his non-profit PLAY MARIN is leading the WARM WISHES BACKPACK PROGRAM to directly support the homeless with a kind holiday offering. Focusing on homeless hubs in San Rafael and Sausalito, this is one more shopping spree you can add to your spirit of Christmas giving; a selfless act that will help those truly in need. CLICK HERE for the list and how to give, or check out the list and bring your completed backpack to Creekside by December 22nd
UPDATE: 12/22: Below is the list of items for the Backpack… the activity link for this event has expired by the creator, so I’ve posted the checklist below. That being said, as of Today, time is running short so as an alternative in this giving season, you can drop a check payable to PLAY MARIN …and drop it at Creekside today (12/22) or visit PlayMarin.org and participate now or in the future as part of your ongoing community outreach support.
Would you like to help PLAY MARIN’s non-profit this holiday season without doing the backpack effort? You bring your tax deductible contribution check to Creekside, payable to PLAY MARIN. 501c3 Tax ID: 83-1737141. You can also mail your support in directly: Play Marin, PO Box 530, Sausalito, CA 94966.
Current cash/check contributions go to the Warm Wishes backpack program and Play Marin’s initiative to provide new basketball court shoes to over 100 children from 3rd to 8th grade in our neediest Marin communities, helping kids stay off the streets, out of the courts and onto the courts and the Play Marin enrichment programs. Quality basketball shoes run $85 a pair. Join Creekside in supporting the needy in Central Marin and diverse youth programs of Southern Marin at PlayMarin.org. Again, you can drop checks payable to Play Marin (per above) and your completed backpacks off at Creekside and we will get them to Paul Austin and his team of volunteers and youth mentors.
