Hey San Anselmo. Everyone knows Miguel Diaz…he has worked for years at Hilda’s Coffee Shop, and worked at Creekside for about two years. Great guy, funny, works his ass off. He’s still part-time at Hilda’s and full-time at Hog Island Oysters. A regular, his brother, Francisco, was downtown San Anselmo this weekend; came down to say Hello. Yesterday, we got the news that Francisco passed away, suddenly and totally unexpectedly. Like Miguel, Francisco was funny and hard working. With the loss of his only relative here in the US, Miguel is single handedly hit with the handling of Francisco’s funeral arrangements and all that goes along with the passing of a family member. It’s both emotionally and financially devastating.

Miguel is reaching out to the community to help raise funds to put Francisco to rest. Every Penny Helps. If you’ve eaten at Creekside or Hilda’s in the past five years, you’ve likely been served by Miguel. Join Creekside in contributing what you can and sharing the GO FUND ME link to your circle of influence. Let’s get this fundraiser up and over the $20k mark fast to help a member of our community in time of family crisis.
