THE DATE: Mark Your Calendar for Saturday, May 13th as The San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce and the San Anselmo Beautification Committee present SIP & STROLL SAN ANSELMO. This is the first annual fundraising event for the downtown San Anselmo Flower Basket Fund. The baskets generally arrive early May and stay up through October, and are a wonderful addition to the beauty and festivities of our downtown area, however, the baskets, flowers and maintenance of the flowers cost A LOT of money, and this is a Privately Funded labor of love; it’s not a Town, County or civic project. Fundraising is a year-round effort running now about $25k annually for these annuals.
THE PROGRAM: The details are still unfolding, but tickets are going on sale. For your $30 donation, you’ll get a commemorative glass and a map of all the participating shops and venues in the Downtown area. Stroll from store to store where you’ll be served a beverage from one of the fine vendor/sponsor winery or brewery… surely over a dozen stops on your San Anselmo passport for fun. 100% of all proceeds go to the non-profit downtown flower baskets program.
