July 11, 2021: History was made by Sir Richard Branson today; a self-made billionaire who started his career with a small college newspaper to serve his peer student community. From that, into the recording industry with Virgin Records, networking and befriending progressive, cutting edge bands on his indi-label. Richard’s mind doesn’t rest: he’s always looking to improve systems, innovate services, and has a global vision for humanity, environment and space travel. Space Travel… sounds like Sci-Fi, but today we witnessed decades of dreams, tenacity, leadership, sacrifice, investment, commitment and lay-it-all-on-the-table risk, making Science Fiction “Science Fact”: Virgin Galactic made successful manned orbit and reentry. Private industry and ridiculous amounts of money are pushing us into the new frontier. Elon wants to go to Mars, Richard wants commercial space travel. Innovation, passion and vision; qualities we embrace and live here at Creekside. We’re not changing the world, but we hope we are making our community a better place.
