The Town of San Anselmo in cooperation with The San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce is pleased to introduce SAN ANSELMO LIVE, a 16 night live music series in downtown San Anselmo in Creek Park and Town Hall Plaza. Big SHOUT OUT to Eric Gelman (Compass Real Estate) and Jack Krammer (Fairway Financial Home Loans) for throwing down fat stacks and sponsoring the entire series!
Catch three of the bands in Creek Park that have been playing on outdoors recently in Creekside Commons including Tom Finch Group, Hall Pass, and kicking off the season is the Jo Jo Diamond Band performing their classic rock and blues cover party music. Our good friend SUSAN Z headlines Friday September 17 and local favorites The Treble Makers (Frank, Schramm & the boys) perform multiple nights in front of Town Hall (across from Cucina) plus a youth band showcase on August 13th. San Anselmo Live begins Friday August 6th and continue every Friday and Saturday night through Saturday September 24. Shows are absolutely free (thanks to Eric Gelman and Jack Kramer), but tipping the bands is ALWAYS a nice nod to the artists (thank you for showing your appreciation to the bands). Showtimes generally 6:00 – 9:00 PM.
Hats Off to Mattie O’Grady, Supervisor for the Town of San Anselmo Rec Department for taking the reigns of booking the talent (not an easy task). She’s still booking a few more dates so that there may be bands performing nightly at both Creek Park and Town Hall Plaza. The roster is still a work in progress. Coolers, low back chair, picnics, well-behaved pets and all ages all welcome. Remember to Help Keep Creek Park Clean! Pack your trash, make best-efforts to use eco-friendly and recyclable products, utilize the trash and recycling cans provided by The Town and Marin Sanitary Service, and use best practices and common sense for appropriate social distancing and sanitization to prevent the spread of germs and peace of mind.
Let’s Rock San Anselmo! Please shop local and dine local in San Anselmo. Many business may remain open later to serve these special events, and San Anselmo Avenue is closed to vehicle traffic on Friday and Saturday nights to provide a safe pedestrian stroll “On The Avenue.” Walking and Carpooling will help take the strain off of the many Downtown San Anselmo public parking lots and ease congestion on residential streets.
